Why I Will Never be my Mother | Ipshita Goel | TEDxBund Garden Youth

Описание к видео Why I Will Never be my Mother | Ipshita Goel | TEDxBund Garden Youth

Ipshita Goel addresses the constant tussle she has encountered with her notions of motherhood, and how her inherent tendencies to ape her mother have given way to a more evaluative understanding of the person she loves most in the world. Ms. Ipshita Goel is a 16-year-old high school junior with a myriad of interests. Being a young aspiring psychologist, she is the founder and editor-in-chief of RAYS Magazine, a project that aims to destigmatize the discussion of mental health. She’s also a state-level basketball player and extremely passionate about music and the arts. The thread that ties all of her work together is her love for people, which is why she seizes every opportunity to hear people’s stories as well as share her own. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
